Going Public

For a while now, this "little logo biz" has been not much more than a hobby I do on the side for fun, a creative outlet, and a PayPal payment every now and again. Recently, though, I decided to grow this thing into it's true potential. I treated myself like I would have any other client of mine and set out my goals.

I have it all set up. I have all of the tweaks mostly ironed out. Now, where are the clients? That's where the boss ladies come in. I am lucky enough to have a tribe of girl bosses around me.

girl boss: A woman in control, taking charge of her own circumstances in work & life. Someone who knows her worth and won’t accept anything less. She takes care of her own shit and hates “mean girls.” She is empowering and inspiring to those around her. She kicks ass!

And I had not just one but TWO incredible ladies nominate me to the Voyage ATL Magazine: Trailblazers column. And there they were: the clients came flooding in.

Ok, not really. But I did get a couple of leads and a ton of traffic on my social media platforms which is honestly, the same thing! The more eyes I can get in front of, the more chances for projects. I found out I have family members who didn't even know about my creative endeavors! SAY WHAT?!

So, all of this is really just to say: GO PUBLIC!

Be scared, be worried, but don't be quiet. Put yourself out there and believe in yourself. Surround yourself with other creatives and other ladies doing the same thing. Create your own tribe, become part of mine (I'm always looking for more boss babes in my circle) and get your shit out there!

There is no other way to get where you want to be.
